FIFA 21 FUTURE STARS - THE STARS OF THE FUTURE

Jootball talents bring a breath of fresh air to the game and inspire the fans. Just like in real life, they can also be a real asset to the team in the popular FIFA ULTIMATE TEAM (FUT) game mode in the FIFA series and develop into real superstars. For this reason, FIFA developer Electronic Arts also devotes a great deal of attention to future stars and releases special card versions of talented young players with a significant value boost every year as part of the FUTURE STARS promo event to reflect their high potential. In this article, we introduce you to the FUTURE STARS in FIFA 21.
FUT - what was that again?
For all newcomers, we will briefly summarize everything you need to know about this popular game mode. In FIFA ULTIMATE TEAM (FUT), you can put together your own individual team and compete against other players worldwide and their teams in friendly matches or in special tournaments such as the Weekend League. The special feature: You get your desired players via player cards from so-called packs. Player values such as speed, shooting power and dribbling are shown on the cards. In addition to the standard versions of the game cards in bronze, silver and gold, there are numerous different special cards such as "Player of the Day", "Champions League" or "Team of the Year", which usually come with greatly increased player values. Big stars from the past also return to the pitch and strengthen your team in three variants that represent different stages of their career. Have you always wanted to play with Pelé or Diego Maradona? With the icon cards you have the chance to do so.
What are the FUT Future Stars?
With the FUTURE STARS event, Electronic Arts is putting the spotlight on young, particularly talented players. The young footballers who EA believes have the most potential are now being presented as part of the event for the third time since FIFA 19. The high potential is reflected in the high player values of the FUTURE STARS cards, which exceed the values of the regular cards by far. For example, the regular FIFA rating for Dortmund's Giovanni Reyna is 68, while his FUTURE STARS card is 91 and therefore on a par with world footballer Robert Lewandowski. In FIFA 20, for example, João Félix (Atletico Madrid) and Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund) received one of the coveted FUTURE STARS cards and are now among the strongest regular players in FIFA 21.
How does the FUTURE STARS event work?
The FUTURE STARS event officially began on February 5 and will run for two weeks. In each week, there will be a fixed team of future star players available via packs and the transfer market. As a FUT player, you will also have the opportunity to upgrade talents in your team to FUT stars by completing special tasks. You can also receive a talented player every week via the so-called "Squad Building Challenges" (SBC).
